Overview
There are many difficulties in advancing DX in Yokohama, Japan's largest municipality with a population of 3.78 million, but efforts are being made in various ways.
Code for YOKOHAMA published the digital technology / ICT policy proposal "Technology-Driven City Yokohama 2030" in 2017, and has continued discussions since then. We evaluated specific efforts based on the proposals, and in August 2021, updated the proposals for the election of the mayor of Yokohama and released it as version 2.0.
In this session, we will introduce the process of policy proposals by Civic Tech and specific actions through collaboration between the government and Civic Tech. I would like to work with everyone in Japan to think about what Civic Tech can do for the region in the future and whether there is a future that can be realized by using technology.
